Gives the Company a Total Capacity of 300,000 Sq. Ft and Greatly Enhanced Capabilities and Services

Bolingbrook, IL – Orbus Exhibit and Display Group, a trade supplier of display, exhibit and event solutions, announces a major expansion with the addition of 150,000 sq. ft. for custom manufacturing. The expansion gives the company a total capacity of 300,000 sq. ft.

“The expansion of our facility allows us to increase our capabilities to produce custom fabric structures, custom construction and extrusion systems,” said Giles Douglas, President and CEO of The Orbus Exhibit and Display Group.  “We are making this investment with the belief that the exhibit industry is recovering strongly and we want to maximize that opportunity.”

 The expansion brings capabilities that now include the following: 

  • Full custom carpentry fabrication capability
  • Custom welding, bending and fabrication of aluminum for fabric structure construction
  • Extensive line of standard fabric structures
  • Extensive line of extruded structural systems
  • Multiple station CNC capability for aluminum and wood substrates
  • Multiple station thermoforming capability in multiple substrates and multiple finishes
  • Multiple station custom sewing capability
  • Dedicated team of sewing professionals
  • Dedicated project management team with full CAD capability
  • Over $1.4 M in rental systems
  • Online preview capability in 10,000 sq. ft clear span set up area
  • Worldwide service and production capabilities


 Graphics capabilities have been enhanced to include: 

  • A team of dedicated file prep and graphic customer service professionals
  • 6 direct-to-fabric and transfer fabric printers with a capacity exceeding 1,500 sq. ft./hour
  • 2 direct-to-substrate printers for output on multiple extruded, wood and textured surfaces
  • Multiple high speed banner printers with capacity exceeding 1,000 sq ft./ hour
  • 6 high resolution ink jet printers
  • Highly competitive turnaround and pricing structure

“These enhanced capabilities position us to provide great value to our clients through an extensive product offering delivered with the utmost customer service and timeliness,” said Douglas.

Since its inception in 2001, Orbus Exhibit and Display Group has grown exponentially from a modest staff of three selling two products to a staff of  175, offering over 300 products and solutions.

The Orbus Exhibit and Display Group is a privately owned group of companies that specialize in the manufacture and trade only supply of portable modular and custom modular, exhibit and display, products, graphics and solutions. Companies within the group include Orbus365, SignPro Systems, Origin, and Axis.
