Louisville, Ky. – Company officials at Kentuckiana Curb announces the expansion of the company’s Louisville operation. Kentuckiana Curb manufactures a variety of products through metal fabrication processes and specializes in metal roof components. The expansion entails the creation of 50 new, full-time jobs and an investment of $2.5 million in the Commonwealth.
The company, which is a subsidiary of Kentuckiana Comfort Center, plans to add 20,000 square feet to its existing 90,000 square-foot facility for the manufacture of high efficiency commercial HVAC systems. Kentuckiana Curb currently employs 70 Kentuckians with a total annual payroll of $3.7 million.
“We are working to partner with Kentucky companies and the University of Louisville to establish a center for development and manufacture of the next generation of energy efficient HVAC systems. Kentuckiana Curb Company Inc. and Kentuckiana Comfort Center Inc. both became 100 percent Employee Stock Ownership Plan owned in 2008. Being owned by the employees makes the opportunity for growth even more exciting for the employees who get to participate in any future increases in share value,” Al Fiorini, President of Kentuckiana Curb Company said.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved Kentuckiana Curb for tax incentives up to $1,125,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The incentive can be earned over a 10-year period through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments. The maximum annual approved amount to be earned by Kentuckiana Curb is $112,500.
