OKLAHOMA CITY--Unitech Composites Inc., a division of the AGC Composites Group, has been invited to participate in the Industrial Advisory Board of the Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering at the University of Idaho.
As part of the University of Idaho's commitment to produce graduates who are equipped to begin competitive and productive careers in the engineering professions, the Industrial Advisory Board provides assistance and input on curriculum review, strategic planning, accreditation and fundraising.
“Students receive a solid foundation in both the Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering fields, including hands-on labs that give the students practical application and experiences in the research arena,” said Dr. Wudneh Admassu, Professor and Department Chair. “The Advisory Board members make recommendations for our curriculum based on current industry technology and best practices. This provides a two-fold benefit to industry by providing both marketable students and skilled employees that will be able to make an immediate impact,” added Dr. Admassu.
Unitech designs and manufactures composite structures in commercial and military aerospace markets. The company maintains continued commitment to innovation, quality, and flexibility towards the requirements of individual airlines and OEMs. Unitech operates within the Composites Group of AGC Aerospace & Defense.
