(Cincinnati, Ohio) - Pro Mach Inc. says its Wexxar Packaging division has acquired IPak Machinery Ltd., a designer and manufacturer of corrugated tray forming solutions based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We will continue to invest in and develop the IPak product line and, where appropriate, IPak tray formers will be combined with other Pro Mach packaging equipment to form a complete integrated line,” said Mark Anderson, Pro Mach CEO.
With the acquisition of IPak, Wexxar adds a durable line of fully automatic tray formers engineered to withstand heavy-duty applications. The IPak product line also includes other machinery such as tray stackers, flange sealers, blank feed systems and more.
“We have a large installed base of highly satisfied customers and I am pleased, as I believe our customers will be, that the IPak product line will benefit from Wexxar's expertise and experience in corrugated,” said Mike Mack, president of IPak.
Canadian-based Wexxar Packaging manufactures systems for case forming and sealing. Wexxar, under the Wexxar/Bel brand, is a division of Pro Mach, a provider of integrated packaging products and solutions for food, beverage, household goods, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and other diverse consumer and industrial companies. Through three business units and related divisions, Cincinnati-based Pro Mach provides equipment, training, installation, service and parts in primary packaging, end-of-line packaging and identification and tracking.
