Pierceton, Indiana-based Paragon Medical Inc. is expanding two of its Indiana facilities as well as a plant in Utah.
Construction began in late October to add 20,000-square-feet of manufacturing space to Paragon's Case & Tray division located on its Pierceton campus. According to a news release posted to the company’s website, the space will be added to the existing 50,000-square-foot facility to support additional capacity and future distribution capability. Paragon plans to begin occupying the new space as early as December of this year with construction being fully completed by March of 2009.
A it’s OMC division in Indianapolis, Paragon has started renovating a 12,000-square-foot warehouse. The additional production floor space will be used to support capacity expansion associated with new and existing programs.
"Our strategy of organic and inorganic growth continues to take center stage," said Gary McGill, president and chief operating officer for Paragon. "Relationships with our major customers continue to evolve to a level that allows extended visibility into future business volume and required capabilities.”
In October, Paragon also broke ground on a 55,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Smithfield, Utah. The new facility will increase Paragon's production capacity in spine and sports medicine applications while broadening existing prototyping and process development capabilities associated with new product introductions. All operations from the current 32,000 square foot facility will be transferred to the new structure.
Earlier this year, the company opened a manufacturing facility in China.
