(Frankfort, Kentucky) – Greenheck Fan Corporation recently broke ground here on a 22,000-square-foot addition, the second addition since the plant opened in 1997.
The extra space will increase capacity by more than 30 percent at the site, which manufactures dampers and louvers for commercial, industrial and institutional air control applications.
In a news release, plant operations manager Pete Dyhan said Greenheck will install additional fire damper production lines as well as louver extrusion storage for the architectural market.
In July 2008, Manufacturing & Technology eJournal reported that Wisconsin-based Greenheck was considering the expansion at its 62,000-square-foot facility. While the company didn’t release figures, filings for a tax credit from the state indicated the project would run more than $900,000 and create 15 jobs.
