(Dunkirk, Indiana) – The Saint-Gobain Containers facility here will get a $27 million facelift.
Company officials say some of the money will be spent on upgrades to power and compressor systems as well as environmental projects.
The plant, which manufactures a mix of glass bottles and jars for the beer and food industries, employs about 400. Saint-Gobain recently received a local tax abatement toward the project.
Saint-Gobain Containers is part of the Saint-Gobain Group, which employs 4,000 people, making it the largest single company in Saint-Gobain. They serve the North American market from 14 plants and are based in Muncie, Indiana.
