(Warsaw, Indiana) – Custom equipment maker The Union Tool Corporation just broke ground here on a 140,000-square-foot addition to its manufacturing facility.
Union Tool co-president Chuck Simpson said the addition will improve production and streamline processes. He declined to say how much the project will cost or how many square feet the company the company currently operates with.
The company makes automated machines and equipment to handle and process flat sheets, boards, and panels made of wood, metal, glass, plastic, fiber, foam and other materials in a conveyor processing line. It serves a variety of industries including plastics packaging; printed circuit board; and entry, security and garage door manufacturers.
A news release said the expansion project will lead to as many as ten new jobs. According to its Web site, the company opened in 1942 and has about 50 employees.
