$18 Million Biodiesel Manufacturing Plant May be Coming to Southwest Kentucky

(Logan County, Kentucky) – Dattilo Energies plans to invest more than $18 million here to launch a plant that produces as much as 10 million gallons of biodiesel fuel annually.

According to filings with the state of Kentucky, Dattilo is considering the purchase of a 52-acre site in the county which includes a 98,000-square-foot building. The plan calls for the Clarksville, Tennessee-based company to spend $1 million for the building, more than $3 million for improvements and about $14 million for new equipment.

The state recently gave preliminary approval for a $425,000 tax credit towards the project. The company estimated the plant would create 17 jobs.
