Medical Scanner Refurbishing Facility to Expand its Operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (Aug. 6 2008) - C&G Technologies Inc., a supplier of refurbished Computed Tomography (CT) scanners for use in medical imaging, announced it will expand its repair and parts operations here, doubling its workforce by 2011.

The company, which refurbishes CT scanners for use in medical settings, will invest more than $1.6 million to expand its Gheens Mill Road operations and warehouse, more than doubling its operating capabilities and creating 33 new jobs.

"C&G Technologies is a home-grown Indiana company and a prime example of an entrepreneurial life sciences business that is investing in Indiana and creating jobs for hard-working Hoosiers," said Governor Mitch Daniels.

Founded in 1990, C&G Technologies has grown from an entrepreneurial home-based business to a regional operation focused on refurbishing, repairing and supplying parts support for General Electric and Toshiba CT scanners. The company also maintains a stock of mobile CT scanners that can be driven to customers' location for immediate use

"This is a high-tech industry where people are counting on our equipment for critical diagnoses," said Greg Kramer, president and owner of C&G Technologies. "With a staff of highly trained engineers, a comprehensive parts stock, fully equipped board repair department, X-Ray tube processing station and even a clean room for high-level detector repairs, we have established a self-efficiency and know that people count on this equipment with their lives. It is up to us to make sure it works the way it was intended to for patients."

C&G Technologies, which currently employs 35 in the southeast Indiana city, plans to begin hiring additional staff in the fall to accommodate its expanded product line. C&G has already begun the process of recruiting for additional engineering, marketing and sales professionals, as well as procurement and general labor positions.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered C&G Technologies Inc. up to $250,000 in performance-based tax credits and $25,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. The City of Jeffersonville will provide property tax abatement at the request of One Southern Indiana.

"What excites me most about the expansion at C&G Technologies is that this company is the product of vision. Eighteen years ago, Greg Kramer acted on his vision of success and now he and his family run a company that will provide nearly 70 people with family-wage jobs that are part of a growing, high-tech economy," said Tom Galligan, Mayor of Jeffersonville. "C&G's success is important because it shows that Jeffersonville and Indiana are willing to work together with homegrown businesses to help them grow and thrive."

C&G Technologies, Inc. is a steadily growing corporation with highly experienced service technicians, refurbished GE and Toshiba CT scanner systems of unmatched quality, and a complete inventory of fully tested and warranted parts. C&G offers a spectrum of worldwide services for GE and Toshiba systems, including complete refurbished and fully tested equipment, custom painting, installations, de-installations, mobile rentals, technical support, service, and parts support.
